What are Droids?

Droids are little robots you send to a gathering node to mine resources for you.

• Droids have their own stats that can be upgraded, improving your gathering
• You can buy more droids, provided you have enough credits

Buying droids

Click “Buy Droid” once you have enough credits. The amount of credits needed for your next Droid is shown inside the “Buy Droid” button.

Upgrading droids

You can upgrade Droids by clicking the “Upgrade” button.

• Every Droid is upgraded independently
• You can check how much upgrades are going to cost you before confirming
• If you don't have enough credits, the total amount will be printed in red
• Each upgrade affects different features of the Droid:
  • Efficiency raises the common resources the droid brings back on each action
  • Storage does exactly the same as Efficiency, and the two are added together
  • Maneuverability increases its chances of surviving encounters

Neither Efficiency nor Storage has any effect on rare resources. Rare income depends on your Gathering level and its own bonuses, as covered in Gathering.

Surviving encounters

Droids can be destroyed while gathering, and a destroyed droid brings nothing back from that action. It is not permanent: the droid is back on the next action, at no cost.

Every droid starts with a base 50% chance to dodge, and two things add to it:

• Maneuverability on the droid itself, which adds dodge chance in a 2:1 relation, so 100% maneuverability means 50% more dodge chance.
• The Droids dodge chance modification on a crafted laser or probe, which is additive with the base and applies to every droid you own.
