Buildings

A squadron builds on two fronts, and both are paid from the squadron bank, never from your own pocket:

  • Headquarter buildings, in the Buildings tab, give permanent bonuses to every member.
  • Stellar Dock buildings, in their own tab, collect resources through taxes to produce the four parts of a Space Station.

Upgrading a headquarter building needs the leader or a rank with the Buildings permission. The Stellar Dock needs the Stellar Dock permission instead.

Headquarter buildings

Building Paid with Per level
Storage Credits and the 4 rare resources +12 Armory slots
Academy Credits and the 4 rare resources +1 member, up to level 6 on web and 4 on Steam
Barracks Rocky resources and Dark Matter Battling boost against NPCs
Amplifier Gas resources and Argon +2% credits and resources
Forge Icy resources and Silicon +3% chance of a crafting XP bonus
Trainer Crystal resources and Cobalt +1% battling and gathering XP
Headquarters Credits and Cosmic Dust More PvP badges

Storage and Academy

The first level costs 1b credits plus 2m of each rare resource, and every level after that multiplies the cost by 1.5.

Storage is the only way to grow the Armory past its 12 starting slots. Academy is capped: at level 6 a web squadron holds 16 members, and at level 4 a Steam one holds 12.

Barracks

Boosts your clones while battling NPCs. The rate slows down as it grows: +5% per level for the first 10 levels, +3% from 11 to 20, and +2% from 21 on. That puts it at 50% by level 10 and 80% by level 20.

Amplifier

Adds 2% per level to the credits you earn battling and to the resources you pull gathering.

Forge

Every level adds 3% chance of a bonus that increases the XP of a crafted item by 50%. Once the accumulated chance goes past 100% the bonus is guaranteed, and whatever is left over keeps rolling for another one on top.

The same level count also raises your squadron's crafting power inside dungeons by 3% per level.

Trainer

Adds 1% per level to the XP you earn battling and gathering.

Headquarters

The most expensive building in the game: the first level costs 10b credits plus 10m cosmic dust, and every level after that multiplies the cost by 1.2. In exchange it does two things for the Battlefield:

  • Multiplies the badges your occupied zones generate by its level plus one, so level 1 doubles them.
  • Pays 1,000 badges per level to the squadron once a day, when the battlefield map is regenerated.

Barracks, Amplifier, Forge and Trainer costs

The four of them share a curve. Each level costs 1m of each of its four common resources plus 10,000 of its rare one, multiplied by the next level raised to 1.6. Past level 250 the curve steepens further, so those levels are a long term project.

Remember

Barracks and Amplifier stop working while you are inside a system where another squadron parked a Space Station. Forge, Trainer, Storage, Academy and Headquarters are never blocked.

Stellar Dock

The four Stellar Dock buildings each produce one part of a Space Station. Every one of them is tied to a node type, so a squadron needs members gathering on all four to grow evenly.

Building Node type Consumes Produces
Workshop Rocky Gold, Silver, Copper, Platinum, Dark Matter Hull Parts
AI Crystal Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Cobalt Control Systems
Bioscience Icy Water, Nitrogen, Sulfur, Carbon, Silicon Ambient Systems
Engineering Gas Ammonia, Hydrogen, Helium, Methane, Argon Propulsion Systems

Each building has to be unlocked for 100m squadron credits. From then on it works like this:

  1. Set its tax, from 0 to 100% in steps of 10, and press Start building.
  2. Every member gathering that node type pays that percentage of their yield into the building instead of keeping it. Squadron global taxes are calculated first, and the dock takes its share out of what the global tax already collected.
  3. The first part needs 1m of each common resource plus 100k of the rare one. When every bar fills, the building stops on its own, gains a level and produces its part.
  4. The requirement for the next part grows with the building level, multiplied by the next level raised to 1.6, so the second part costs around three times the first.

Stopping a building keeps whatever it already collected, it only stops taxing its members.

Remember

An active Roller pet also raises what the Stellar Dock collects, not just what global taxes collect. The extra is generated on top, so the member gathering pays the same as anyone else and the building simply fills faster.

What to do with the parts is covered in Galaxy Power.

TL;DR:

  • Everything is paid from the squadron bank, so buildings advance at the speed of donations and taxes.
  • Storage is the only way to grow the Armory, and Academy the only way to grow past 10 members on web or 8 on Steam.
  • Barracks and Amplifier go dark inside systems claimed by another squadron, the rest never do.
  • Headquarters is the badge building: it multiplies zone badges and pays a daily amount on its own.
  • The Stellar Dock does not spend the bank, it taxes the members gathering its node type.
