Armory and donations
A squadron owns two stashes: a bank of resources that pays for every building, and an Armory of ship items its members lend each other.
Donating to the bank
The Inventory tab shows every currency the squadron holds next to what you are carrying. Type an amount, or click your own number to load everything you have, and press Donate.
You can donate the 20 gathering resources, credits, cosmic dust and stellar tokens. Quantum Cores and Catalyst Parts stay with you, they are never part of the squadron bank.
Remember
A donation is final. Nothing comes back out of the bank to a player, it can only be spent on buildings, Space Stations and system claims.
Donating is not the only way the bank grows. Taxes feed it too, and on most squadrons they bring in far more than donations do.
The donations ranking
The Donations tab lists what each member has given, split into credits, cosmic dust, stellar tokens and the four resource families plus rares.
It counts donations only, never taxes. A member who quietly pays a high tax rate every hour can still sit at the bottom of this list, so read it as generosity on top of the rules, not as total contribution.
The Armory
The Armory holds ship items that members lend each other, which is how a squadron gets a new player into decent gear without anyone losing anything.
It starts with 12 slots and grows by 12 for every level of the Storage building.
Donating an item. From your Inventory, open the item and press Donate to armory. PvP gear and account bound items cannot be donated, and neither can anything while the Armory is full.
Borrowing. Any member can borrow, no permission needed. Only one member can hold an item at a time, and the Status column shows who took it and when. Press Return when you are done and it goes straight back, unequipped if you had it fitted.
Retrieving. The leader, or a rank with the Junkyard permission, can take an item out of the squadron for good. It lands in the inventory of whoever retrieved it and frees the slot. It also works on an item somebody is using: the item is pulled off them, unequipped, and they get a notification about it.
Remember
Borrowing and donating are open to everyone. Junkyard is the permission that makes an item leave the squadron permanently, so it belongs to whoever is trusted with cleaning out the Armory.
Anything that leaves you owing the squadron settles itself: leaving or being kicked sends every borrowed item back to the Armory automatically. See Members.
Donations, borrows and retrievals are all written to the Logs tab, with who did what and when.
TL;DR:
- Donated currency is gone for good, it can only be spent by the squadron.
- The Donations ranking ignores taxes, so it is not a picture of who contributes most.
- The Armory starts at 12 slots and grows only through the Storage building.
- One member holds a borrowed item at a time, and returning it is free.
- Retrieve takes an item out of the squadron permanently, even out of another member's hands.
